Arches Platine is a 100% cotton printmaking paper created specifically for platinum-palladium photographic printing. Because this process uses acidic clearing baths, the paper must contain no alkaline buffers or chemical additives, ensuring a pure, stable surface for image formation.
Exceptional wet strength allows Arches Platine to withstand multiple chemical baths while still drying flat, an essential requirement for this technique. As one of the first papers engineered expressly for platinum-palladium printing, it remains a benchmark for quality.
The paper features a bright white tone, a satiny smooth surface, and deckled edges on all four sides. Its elegant watermark enhances the refined character of this premium art paper.
