Description
Magnani 1404 Portofino Watercolour Blocks feature natural white, hot pressed watercolour paper made with 100% cotton and are acid and chlorine-free. Sheets are internally and externally sized to create a stable surface with balanced absorption for a variety of wet media including watercolour, gouache, acrylic and ink.
Magnani watercolour papers are made using a cylinder mould machine and feature a distinctive finish created by the marking felts exclusive to Magnani 1404. The exceptional craftsmanship means this paper has excellent longevity and resistance to yellowing caused by exposure to UV light. These watercolour blocks come in a round format and are glued along the edge to keep the paper taught while working.
Magnani 1404 is one of Italys most historic paper mills and has been making fine quality artist paper in Tuscany since the 15th century.
