Holbein Watercolour Dot Card provides an A5-sized sample of all 24 Holbein Granulating Watercolours, allowing artists to explore the colours and their distinctive granulating characteristics before selecting full-size paints. Each dried colour dot can be activated with a wet brush, making the card useful for testing washes, observing pigment behaviour, comparing shades, and planning palettes for future paintings.
Holbein Watercolours are made without ox gall, animal by-products, or other dispersing agents, helping to retain greater colour density and brush control associated with traditional Japanese watercolour techniques. The paints rewet readily, allowing each sample to demonstrate its colour, handling, and granulating effects directly on watercolour paper.
